About The Position:
Knight Home Care Financial is on the lookout for a Staff Accountant to join our dedicated team. Main Functions:
Perform accounting duties for clients as directed. Prepare and process monthly financial statements including review of transactions, posting journal entries and month end close. Assist with special project when assigned. Assist with client communications and client satisfaction.
Duties:
- Maintain data feeds and classify all transactions
- Review monthly transactions in general ledger
- Process account payables
- Review monthly reconciliations
- Create and post Adjusting Journal Entries
- Prepare and process Financial Statements
- Finalize year-end records for tax prep and cost reporting such as depreciation, accruals & payroll reconciliations, retained earnings roll-forward
- Assist with the preparation of year-end compliance reports such as cost reports
- Assist with client matters and communications
- Process all data and work with a professional level of service and accuracy with minimal errors
- Keep accurate time records daily
- Meet deadlines as assigned by the Firm and as governed by law
Goals and Expectations:
- Greater than 90% of all assigned financials are completed timely and accurately
- Financials produced with less than 20% kickbacks from manager review
- Total time should consist of 85% billable time
- Realization rate should be $150 or greater. This measures the efficiency of work being performed. Staff Accountant should always strive for the most efficient processing of work possible, while maintaining accuracy.
- Maintain client load with aggregate gross revenue equal to 3 to 5 times gross cost of the accountant.
- Aim for excellence in every task with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. We foster a supportive environment where errors are minimized through diligence and adherence to best practices (details available in the employee handbook).

Employment Requirements:
- Completion of bachelor’s degree, emphasis in accounting
- Two years of experience as a Staff Accountant is preferred
- Proficient spoken and written English
- Punctual, meticulous, and reliable
- Courteous manners with the public
