Amy L. Taylor, CPA
Since founding the firm in 2002, our resident Knight has devoted her days to overseeing its entire operation. Amy focuses on business development, client relations, and IT initiatives. As the brains behind our operation, she uses her expertise in system design, accounting technology, and healthcare cost reporting to create innovative healthcare accounting solutions for each and every client.
Amy’s accounting journey began while earning her Bachelor of Business Administrator in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma. She spent the next five years at Craig Carter & Associates in Oklahoma City before planting her roots in the warm Texas soil. Outside of the office, she fulfills her passion for helping others through a variety of committee roles with the Texas Association of Home Care & Hospice (TAHC&H).
Amy’s second great passion is being on the water. When she isn’t devoting her time to her clients, she can usually be found running the lake with 3 fur-babies on her boat.
Shayla Menefee
Shayla joined Knight Home Care Financial in 2018. As Client Advisor she all aspects of client accounting whether it is processing payables, maintaining data feeds or preparing customized KPIs; she uses her extensive knowledge to ensure that our accounting services flow seamlessly, every step remains in compliance, and we never lose our favorite calculator (or our heads). In addition to accounting, Shayla also have a sweet spot in her heart for payroll. This equips our firm with a very solid liaison to gap that bridge between the accounting team and our outside payroll partners so that client payroll is always talking to the accounting records correctly – and that is no small feat!
Before joining Knight Home Care Financial, Shayla worked as a bookkeeper in college followed by nine years as an employee for a CPA firm. While there, she gained experience in various duties such as preparing monthly financial statements, filing personal income taxes, and processing payroll, among others.
Passionate about mental health, Shayla is a member of the National Alliance on Mental Illness and an avid supporter and volunteer for Project Semicolon, an organization dedicated to the prevention of suicide. She finds her own inner peace away from the office through hiking, travel, nature, and spending time with her husband and their two fur-babies, Duke and Desmo.
Michelle Neary
Joining Knight Home Care Financial in 2021, Michelle is to thank for our smooth-running internal operations and the implementation of our visionary ideas here at Knight. Michelle manages all day-to-day operations such as our finances and client onboarding, all while ensuring continual industry compliance in the ever-changing homecare and hospice accounting environment.
Graduating with her BA in Political Science and Economics from Evergreen State College, Michelle worked as an Administrator at a CPA firm before moving to Austin, Texas. Michelle is passionate in her support of St. Jude’s and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). In the office, you can find Michelle hanging out with Amy’s puppies and spending her weekends playing tennis.
Ashley Hamilton
Joining Knight Home Care Financial in 2021 after graduating from Florida Gulf Coast University with a BS in Accounting and Taxation, Ashley gained experience working in the healthcare finance industry. Ashley specializes in processing and reconciling client accounts, preparing client accounts for year-end taxes and applicable 1099’s for vendors. She also prepares quarterly tax projections for our clients, giving them a clear picture of what the next quarter will look like.
When she isn’t busy providing stellar services for our clients, Ashley enjoys providing her expertise in the tax field for nonprofits, previously working as an Accountant at Jonathan’s Place of SWFL. Her free time is spent in nature, whether it’s a bike ride, hike, or a trip to the dog park.
Aaron Neidich
While his career journey began in the corporate communications world, Aaron’s lifelong passion for numbers prompted a pivotal career change in 2018, guiding him into the realm of accounting. In his role, Aaron skillfully manages bookkeeping and monthly financials while also overseeing accounts payable and providing quarterly tax projections for our clients. When he’s not crunching numbers, Aaron dives into the world of movies, music, reading, and enjoys working out alongside his wife.
Ashley Bailine
Joining Knight HC Financial with a rich background in tax accounting and client management, Ashley Bailine applies her MBA in International Finance and her insight from diverse sectors to innovate and drive client success. Her skills in strategic planning, financial forecasting, and cultivating client relationships make her an indispensable member of both our team and our clientele.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Ashley is committed to giving back, contributing time and resources to local charities and global organizations alike. Her personal time is filled with activities that reflect her love for adventure and family, from golfing weekends to tranquil moments creating art and enjoying football season.
Akshay Chhatrodiya
Akshay Chhatrodiya leverages his expertise in bookkeeping, accounts management, and financial analysis to support clients’ financial operations. He is responsible for managing bookkeeping, accounts payable, payroll reconciliation, and month-end/year-end closings.
Akshay holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from Sardar Patel University and a Bachelor of Commerce in Advanced Accounting & Basic Statistics from Gujarat University. Certified in Xero, Bill.com, and Fathom, Akshay is known for his attention to detail and proficiency in maintaining financial records.
Outside of work, Akshay enjoys playing cricket, traveling, and reading books.
Rajan Soni
Rajan Soni brings his expertise in bookkeeping and financial analysis to Knight Home Care Financial, where he oversees detailed account review, financial reporting, and streamlining business processes. His day-to-day responsibilities include managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll and bank reconciliations, and preparing 1099 filings. Rajan is also instrumental in preparing financial statements and management reports that help clients improve their business performance.
Rajan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from K.S. School of Business Management at Gujarat University and is a Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Outside of work, Rajan enjoys playing cricket, participating in Garba (a local folk dance), exploring new food dishes, and going on long drives.
